DELAIN: 'April Rain' Pushed Back To March
January 6, 2009The European release date of "April Rain", the second album from DELAIN — the Dutch gothic rock/metal project founded by ex-WITHIN TEMPTATION keyboardist Martijn Westerholt (brother of WITHIN TEMPTATION's Robert Westerholt) — has been pushed back to March 27 (except in Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg where the CD will be made available on March 20).
As a result of the date change, the band's previously announced CD-release shows have been moved as well. DELAIN will present the first single and play new material off "April Rain" at a "sneak preview" show on Friday, March 6 in the group's hometown of Zwolle. The official international release party in Amsterdam will now take place on Thursday, March 19 at De Melkweg.
As previously reported, DELAIN will hit the road in Europe in March/April with KAMELOT and SERENITY. The band has also lined up a string of headlining dates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in April.
Video footage of DELAIN performing a new song entitled "I'll Reach You" on the Dutch TV channel RTL7 on November 23, 2008 can be viewed below.
